Event Description

The 846 Collective began as a local healing space for youth of African heritage, in response to and in solidarity with the worldwide collective response to the 8 minutes and 46 seconds that led to the murder of George Floyd. The 846 Collective has evolved into an intergenerational space focused on healing and self-care. As we continue to experience similar traumas, it is imperative that we have space to connect, restore, engage and build community. All our sessions will take place online on the first Thursday of every month from 7:00PM - 8:30PM CT. Session 1 (Nov 5th): Practical Steps to Address Trauma and Uncertainty During Dual PandemicsSession 2 (Dec 3rd): Healthy Holidays: How to Self-Care and Social Distance During the HolidaysSession 3 (Jan 7th): Social Emotional Practices for Healthy School EngagementSession 4 (Feb 7th): Implementing Culturally Affirming Self-Care Practices to Celebrate Black History
