Description

The Somali Justice Advocacy Center (SJAC) was founded in 2001 to advocate for, educate and empower the Somali community to enjoy full civil rights and civil liberties and ensure fair treatment of its members under the law. The organization completed a strategic planning process in 2005 and is continuing to build organizational capacity for a higher level of performance.
Review of Strategic plan and current capacity of the organization. SJAC completed a strategic plan in August 2005, and the new leadership has been working to implement that plan. We focused in the short-term on a listening campaign to hear from the broader community. The organization did one to one and small group meetings to hear from more than 200 Somalis
