Event Description

Do you ever wish you could take all the amazing classes and professors you hear about in all the different colleges at UT. Our Professor Preview Series allows students to do just that. Once a semester will be hosting a professor to talk about their area of studies, so that you can get an insight into their classroom and interests. This Professor Preview will be featuring Dr. Foster from the College of Liberal Arts. He is an educational anthropologist currently serving as the Associate Chair for the Black Studies Department. His passion is to bring research, teaching and community engagement together to improve academic outcomes for African American and other students. In 2011, he founded Blackademics Television, which airs on PBS stations across the country. Dr. Foster currently also manages the Dan Rather Prize for Innovation in Education and designs and leads professional development activities for educators. Join us for this great lunchtime discussion. The event is free to all students. If you are a Texas Exes Student Member you will be automatically entered into a raffle drawing for some great prizes.
