With over thirty-five years of experience in the catering industry, Chef Helm brings professional skill, knowledge, and her personal artistic flair to your table.
Growing up in a family of excellent traditional southern cooks, Chef Helm first became enamored with the kitchen and all things culinary as a child in rural Hartsville, Tennessee, and though she went on to earn a B.A. in psychology from Lipscomb University, this love never subsided.
She began offering creative birthday and wedding cakes from her home in 1975 while raising two small children. Popularity grew rapidly, and today Chef Helm holds a reputation that has led to such events as intimate dinners for dignitaries, celebrity holiday parties, and national political fundraisers.
Never satisfied with her work, Chef Helm received her B.S. in culinary science form the Nashville State Technical Institute in May, 2003 and is now teaching part time at Nashville State College in the culinary department.
