A 60-minute virtual event which will delve into the unique African American influences among the literary giants of Florida, the Sunshine State.Presented by Vincent F.A. Golphin, Ph.D, professor at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. Professor Golphin is also a published writer and a public speaker. This program is part of Lift Every Voice: Why African American Poetry Matters, a national public humanities initiative of Library of America presented in partnership with The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and Emerson Collective. Registration with email address is required. The webinar link and password will be emailed to participants two days before the program.
