Jazz is all about melding together the cultural backgrounds, experiences, and souls of the individual musicians. The musicians of the Brazilian Violin Collective will join South African jazz violinist Elinor Speirs and Cuatro Puntos Ensemble for an evening of original works that fuse Brazilian, African, and American jazz traditions. Program: Original works by Elinor Speirs that incorporate Brazilian, African, and American jazz traditions. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be streamed in high quality from the chapel at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut. Students, faculty, and staff of the University of Saint Joseph are welcome to reserve a ticket to attend in person. Others may reserve a free, virtual ticket. Musicians on the Frontlines is presented as a partnership between Cuatro Puntos and the Autorino Center for the Arts at the University of Saint Joseph.
